Where do great ideas come from? That is a very complex and complicated question but definitely one worth answering and discussing. Steven Johnson presents his idea of the “slow hunch” in one of my favourite TED Talks that explains those “Eureka” moments and how lightening doesn’t really just strike us. He discusses how good ideas come from a series of ideas that are connected with one another and coalesce in our brains over time and it is those connections that lead to the “aha” moments. Without further adieu, here’s Steven Johnson discussing where good ideas come from.

What do you think? Are there some ways we can put this into practice to generate more good ideas?
