Get Vizual with Your LinkedIn Profile

Blog friends of re: charity, charityexecutive.com, recently had a post titled “Changing Your LinkedIn Profile Into an Infographic” that shared a site, vizualize.me, I hadn’t seen before. If you’ve been on re: charity before you’ll know that we love us some infographics (seriously, we love them) and it is great to see more functional uses for them like resume and professional display (not just cool factor) show up.

The post writes:

Already the traditional resume has given way to more creative, online forms such as video resumes, but one company in particular is jumping on the infographic train.

A beta site called Vizualize.Me takes your existing LinkedIn profile and transforms the information and data into a customizeable and colourful infographic. With one scroll, a recruiter can effortlessly get a sense as to the course your academic and professional experience has taken you, as well as view an immediate, yet enjoyable, synopsis of your skills, interests, and references.

I tried it out myself and liked the service a lot. You can change and customize colours and was a catalyst for me to update and improve my LinkedIn profile. When top executive search firms like Hutchinson Smith Inc., whose blog is charityexecutive.com, are recommending things like this then it is time that we all, and not just the “tech folks”, take notice and keep up with the times.
